From Aker Nscale to Fossefall: Karl Inge Halleraker to lead project execution at Fossefall

(Oslo, 23. January 2026) Fossefall AS, a Nordic developer of critical AI infrastructure, has appointed Karl Inge Halleraker as VP Project Delivery, with responsibility for leading project execution across the company’s AI factory projects. Halleraker joins Fossefall from the role of Project Director for the Stargate Norway project at Aker Nscale.

“Fossefall has taken a disciplined approach to project development, and the company is now entering a phase where execution capability needs to be built. The opportunity to establish and lead that function in a Nordic-owned company was a key reason for my decision to join”, says Halleraker.

Halleraker brings more than 20 years of experience from large-scale infrastructure projects across the Nordics, including senior project management roles at Aker Nscale, Green Mountain AS, Metier and Lundin. The appointment is aligned with Fossefall’s plans to strengthen its organisation as the company moves from development into execution across multiple industrial projects

“We are pleased to see that Fossefall continues to attract leading expertise. Karl Inge brings execution experience that is directly relevant to where Fossefall is today. As we move into delivery, his leadership will be an important addition to the team”, says Øyvind L. Vesterdal, CEO of Fossefall.

Speed, scale and sovereignty are key elements in Fossefall’s strategy to meet the fast-growing demand for secure AI infrastructure in Europe.

In November 2025, Fossefall announced an agreement to acquire Fyresdal Datacenter from Norsk Data AS and plans to establish its first AI factory in Norway. Fossefall aims to build AI factories in Norway and Sweden with up to 500 megawatts of capacity by 2030.
