Fossefall breaks ground on its first AI factory and awards major contract to Skorve Entreprenør
Fossefall has started construction of its first AI factory in Fyresdal, Norway. Skorve Entreprenør AS has been awarded the contract for the project's civil, structural and architectural works.

Skorve Entreprenør will be responsible for the design, procurement, construction, testing and handover of the site works. The scope also includes foundations, infrastructure, the administration building and the technical building. The contract is valued at about NOK 100 million.
The project marks the first step in Fossefall’s plan to build more than 1 gigawatt of Nordic-owned AI capacity by 2030.
Breaking ground on our first AI factory in Fyresdal is a major milestone for Fossefall. We are very pleased to award this important contract to Skorve Entreprenør, contributing to local jobs and value creation.
Unlike traditional data center developers, Fossefall will not only build the facilities but also own and operate the GPUs that provide the computing power for artificial intelligence (AI). This will keep critical infrastructure, data processing capability, and value creation under European ownership and control.
We see this as recognition of the capability we have built over several years to deliver major projects. The contract is important for Skorve and will secure a high level of activity, with up to 50 full-time employees working on the project at peak.
Fossefall ordered five Leviathan modular data centers from Armada in August. The modules will be installed at the new AI factory being built by Skorve Entreprenør, and has a combined capacity of more than 9 MW.
The AI factory in Fyresdal is expected to go live within first half of 2027.
